he City of Rochester is responsible for maintaining City owned ponds and the area around the pond. Maintenance includes mowing, tree & brush removal, maintaining pond functionally, and inspection. Not all ponds in Rochester are owned by the City, many ponds are privately owned. For privately owned ponds the landowner is responsible for operation and maintenance.
