Legal Assistance of Olmsted County (LAOC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides free civil legal services to low-income people in Olmsted County.
LAOC aims to have a positive effect on our entire community by championing:

Landlords & Tenants:
LAOC also provides information services for landlords and tenants. Individuals can call (507) 529-4111 and leave a message describing their question or situation. An advocate will then return the call to discuss the situation and provide available information or referrals to other service providers. Advocates strive to return calls within 24 hours, Monday through Friday. Hotline advocates answer questions on many topics related to rental housing, such as:
- Rental Agreements/Leases
- Discrimination
- Evictions
- Repair Problems
- Security Deposits
- Ending a Tenancy
