Two individuals can declare themselves as domestic partners. This helps employers know if employees and their partners are eligible for benefits. It allows partners to visit each other if one is in the hospital.

Application for Domestic Partnership Registration

Address Changes:

Domestic partners must promptly report address changes to the City Clerk (RCO 1-3-3(a)).

• There is no fee for address changes.

Dissolve:

 Either person in a domestic partnership can end the partnership. They must start the process by notifying the City Clerk's Office.

Submission Options:

• In person, or by mail, to the City Clerk’s Office, 201 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN 55904. Please do not email registration applications to us.
