Dangerous Dog

The City of Rochester does not require a license for dogs unless they have been deemed a dangerous dog or potentially dangerous dog by the Rochester Police Department.  Sec. 3-1-17. - Dangerous dogs. | Code of Ordinances | Rochester, MN | Municode Library

To register a dangerous dog, the owner must pay a $75 yearly fee, provide proof of current rabies vaccination, proof of microchip, and insurance may be required in an amount up to $300,000.  The animal must also wear a special tag and a dangerous dog poster must be displayed at the residence.
