Picnic Shelters

Note--shelter reservations end at the end of September when the water is shut off. From then the shelters are available on a first-come first served basis but without water. Reservations will resume in the Spring when the weather warms up.

There are 15 picnic shelters throughout the City of Rochester that can be reserved.

Reservations may be made beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16th for the 2024 season. You can make reservation requests online. Click here to view the availability schedule and make your reservation request. Reservations can also be made in person at the Parks and Recreation Office located at City Hall.  These shelters have limited electrical service, adjacent restrooms or portable toilets, limited parking, playgrounds, other park facilities and picnic tables to accommodate up to 50 persons (8 tables).  These shelters do not have water with the exception of Central & Watson which have a drinking fountain at the adjacent restroom building.
*Parks where amplified sound is permitted with the proper permits.
