City Storm Cleanup Efforts Continue
September 15, 2026 – ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA – City of Rochester crews are still working to clean up damage from the Sept. 2 storms. Winds of more than 70 mph caused widespread tree and limb damage across Rochester, resulting in 648 recorded storm-related cleanup tasks. That number does not include the many smaller limb pickups crews have also completed throughout the City.
Because of the extent of the damage, cleanup is expected to continue for another two to three weeks. All roads are now passable, and crews are focused on additional roadway cleanup and clearing sidewalks. Boulevard cleanup will follow as the final priority.
