Crow Abatement information
A message from the Parks and Recreation Department (10/24/2024):
As many of you know, the Parks and Recreation Department conducts crow abatement activities beginning in the fall and continuing through the end of winter. This initiative was developed several years ago in response to health and safety concerns related to the large crow populations gathering downtown each year. Crow management efforts are coordinated with the Mayo facilities team.
This year, we have been working closely with the USDA to enhance the effectiveness of our abatement measures. The USDA will provide guidance on any necessary adjustments to our procedures. We will inform city leaders of any major changes in our approach for the upcoming season.
