RPTGO Microtransit Pilot Program
Say “Hello” to RPTGo: Rochester’s Microtransit Pilot Program
What is microtransit?
Microtransit is an on-demand service where you can book a shared ride when you need it. It operates in a set area and connects to specific transportation hubs. You can book a ride using an app or by phone. Microtransit helps people who find it hard to use regular bus services.
Where and when will the pilot program operate?
- The pilot will run from October 2024 to September 2025 in a zone in southeast Rochester and have five hubs.
- Users may travel: Inside the microtransit zone.
- From the microtransit zone to one of five hubs (Cub Foods, RCTC, Mayo High School, Quarry Hill Park or Graham Park).
- From any of the five hubs back to the microtransit zone.
