North Broadway Park & Ride

Category: City Projects

The City of Rochester plans to construct a new 200-space park-and-ride facility. The proposed project includes a concrete parking structure, a transit stop for two buses, a sheltered area for passengers, restrooms for bus drivers, and vertical circulation including stairs and an elevator. Site improvements will include onsite stormwater management, concrete paving for drive lanes, reconfigured surface parking, soil improvements as required, turf and landscape improvements, and the relocation of the property entry point from Broadway Avenue along the eastern site boundary.

Construction will include the demolition of an existing masonry storage building and partial demolition of a retaining wall on the north boundary of the property. A temporary easement will be acquired along the north boundary of the property for the purposes of demolition and construction. Construction traffic is intended to enter and exit the site from Broadway Avenue. Construction is planned to commence in December 2025 and is expected to be completed in December 2026.

Location: The park-and-ride will be built in the northeast corner of the Rochester Recreation Center property located off Elton Hills Drive NW.
