2025 Opening Dates for Beaches, Splash Pad and Aquatic Center

We’re excited to share that the damaged activator at the Lincolnshire Splash Pad has been replaced and the pad is now ready for visitors—just in time for the warm weather!

May 23, 2025 update
The Lincolnshire Splash Pad opening, originally set for May 24, has been postponed due to vandalism. A critical control valve was destroyed. The Parks & Recreation team is fast-tracking repairs and exploring all options to reopen as soon as possible for the summer season. The City of Rochester Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce the opening dates for its outdoor water recreation facilities for the 2025 summer season. 

Cascade Lake Beach, Foster Arend Beach and the Lincolnshire Splash Pad will open this Saturday, May 24. The Soldiers Field Aquatic Center will follow with a season opening on Thursday, June 5. Construction on the Silver Lake Pool continues with completion expected by the 2026 summer season. 

We’re thrilled to kick off another summer season,” said Parks & Recreation Director Paul Widman. “These facilities provide important opportunities for health, wellness and fun for residents of all ages.”
