Rochester Public Music Announces 2025 FORWARD Concert Series Lineup, Dates and Locations
April 24, 2025 – ROCHESTER, MINN. – Rochester Public Music is excited to announce the 2025 FORWARD Concert Series! This summer, everyone is invited to enjoy six free live music events in Rochester parks. Each concert features local and regional artists, with one show in each of the City’s six wards. All parks are pet-friendly and connected to local trails.
Along with great music, each event includes food trucks, craft beer, and fun activities for all ages, like the Rochester Public Library’s Bookmobile and the Parks & Recreation Mobile Rec Trailer.
“FORWARD brings live music to parks across Rochester, creating welcoming, easygoing concerts for everyone,” said Avital Rabinowitz, Public Music Director. “These events invite people from all over the City to discover new neighborhoods and enjoy music together in a relaxed, community atmosphere. FORWARD has become a favorite summer tradition, bringing people together to enjoy music and community in parks all across Rochester.”
2025 FORWARD Concert Series Lineup
- June 4 – Wild Horses with Tennessee Stiffs at Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park
- June 11 – Clay Fulton & The Lost Forty with Poppa Bear Norton at Cascade Lake Park
- June 18 – Beth Bombara with Becky Schlegel at Allendale Park
- August 13 – Avey Grouws Band with Jake La Botz at John Withers Sports Complex
- August 20 – Nathan Graham with Mark Joseph and the American Soul at White Oaks Park
- August 27 – Space Monkey Mafia with The Reach Outs at Cook Park
Each FORWARD concert is free and open to the public. Concerts take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m., with food and beverage vendors available starting at 5 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Coolers are welcome, though plenty of options will also be available from on-site vendors.
Real-time CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) captioning is available via a QR code sign at the park and ADA-compliant restrooms will be provided. Parking options vary by location and walking or biking to the events is encouraged.
